How would I contact you to ask you a question about NutriBase?
Just send your email to CyberSoft, Inc.
Why would I purchase NutriBase EZ instead of NutriBase Junior, Personal, or Personal Plus?
NutriBase EZ users like this version because of its ease-of-use. No User's Manual is required. Anytime you need help, you just click the F1 key for context-sensitive help. If you are a casual PC user who just wants to get the most basic types of things done in regard to your nutrition, NutriBase EZ was designed for you.
Why would I purchase NutriBase Junior, Personal, or Personal Plus rather than NutriBase EZ?
In a word... Power. These editions of NutriBase provide many of the high-end features found in NutriBase Professional, Preofessional SE, and Enterprise editions of NutriBase. All these versions are compatible with each other (that is, you can exchange recipes, meals, meal plans, client information, etc. amongst these versions). However, with this power comes a more sophisticated user interface that involves repositioning and resizing windows and the ability to move from window-to-window as you work. These editions come with a User's Manual that covers 160+ "How to" topics. If you are a power use, one of the consumer editions may be for you.
What is your most popular edition of NutriBase?
NutriBase Personal Plus. This edition tracks 88 nutrients, including 37 vitamins and minerals. It is by far our best-selling package in terms of number of units sold.
What's the main differences between the Personal and Personal Plus editions?
The Personal Plus edition tracks 37 vitamins and minerals that are not tracked in the Personal edition. This means that with the Personal Plus edition, you can track your nutrient intake as a percentage of your RDA (or customized RDA). The other main difference is that the Personal Plus can handle up to 10 persons, rather than five.
Who wrote your comparison chart and why should I trust it?
We wrote that comparison chart. We believe it is reliable. We spent days (not just "hours") trying to figure out if our competitor's software could perform any of the 170+ different functions that NutriBase can perform. The last thing we wanted was to have them come back to us and say that we said they couldn't do something when, in fact, they could. We've had correspondence with these competitors and that is one of the reasons why the comparison chart is so well-documented with footnotes and clarifications.
Where can I learn more about the various editions of NutriBase?
My hard drive crashed and I don't have the original download that I purchased from you. What can I do?
Email us at CyberSoft, Inc. and request a download of the latest edition of the software you purchased. We will reply with the download instructions. We can provide a CD for a nominal charge of $10.
I was told that I could add as many new food items as I wanted to NutriBase. How do I add a food item?
Click the PFI (Personal Food Item) Icon, then click the Create Button. To add more than what is typically provided on the Nutrition Facts Label, click the Nutrients Button. To enter values as Percent Daily Values, click the %DV Button.
When I start NutriBase, I get hit with a Quote of the Day, New User Help, and a User Information Window. Is there any way for me to turn any or all of these things off?
Yes. You have complete control. Click the "Prefs" option of the Menu Bar and click the Settings Tab. Uncheck the boxes for these three viewing options. If you want to turn any of these back on in the future, just visit this section and check the boxes for the options you want.
When I conduct a search, I don't find any restaurant foods. What's up?
When you first use NutriBase, it is set to search across Research Quality Nutrient Data only. To include other categories of foods in your search, click the down arrow next to the box labeled "Database to search:" and select the option you want to use. The option "Research Quality Data plus Brand Name data" will locate items from all brand name foods, including restaurants.
I didn't purchase a manual. How do I print the Manual you included as a PDF file?
It's a very good idea to print the User's Manual It contains 150+ "How to.." topics that give you step-by-step instructions for just about everything. Click the NutriBase User's Manual Icon on your Windows Desktop. If you get an error message, it is most likely because you don't have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer. You can install this from the NutriBase installation CD or you can download it from our web site.
I just conducted a search on "STRAWBERRIES" and only got a few hits. What's up?
